Eligibility

Do you qualify?

  • You're a legitimate, active consumer of one of the six distributors (DESCO, DPDC, BPDB, Palli Bidyut, NESCO, WZPDCL)
  • No outstanding electricity bills
  • You own the roof, or have the owner's written permission
  • The system's capacity is within your sanctioned load (since 2025, up to 100% of it)
  • You have a Single Line Diagram (SLD) prepared by an engineer

Steps

The 6-step application

The whole application happens on one official portal: nem.powerdivision.gov.bd

Apply

Apply on the portal with your consumer account number and upload the SLD.

Site inspection

The distributor inspects the roof/connection.

Approval (≤10 working days)

From inspection to approval is a maximum of 10 working days.

Install

After approval, install the solar system and the bidirectional meter.

Evaluation

The company verifies the installed system.
6

Agreement (≤15 working days)

Evaluation to agreement is a maximum of 15 working days; net metering then goes live.
